Phil Perry Wildlife Photos: Leopard Profiles: Leopard Profiles: Tai Dam Female
Tai Dam Female - named after one of the waterholes in the centre of her territory has only become habituated over the last couple of years. Accordingly she is now seen a lot more frequently. Her territory is north of the Sand river. She was born in 1993. She has produced cubs in the past but so far none have survived. Tai Dam gave birth to two cubs in June 2005 - but they have been seldom seen since then. If she does manage to raise more cubs it is hoped that they will be more relaxed with safari vehicles, though as there are fewer vehicles driving north of the Sand river, this may yet take some time.
