Makwela's female cub is now 11 months old
Leopards can be just like your own pet cat. This sequence shows Makwela's cub being sick having eaten some grass
She crouches down and leans forward ....
She opens here mouth, sticks ot her tongue ......
Then she grimaces, pulling her whiskers back ......
And finally she manages to be sick
The sick appears to contain a few grass blades. Swallowing grass is frequently used by cats to induce vomiting - from pets to lions
That feels better. A much perkier looking leopard cub !
Sadly Shangwa's 2005 Female cub's slumber was disturbed by a troop of baboons. After a quick look at them she ran off in a low crouch
Enterprising as ever, Wallys stole this young waterbuck kill from a python !
Shangwa - lying down on the northern bank of the Sand River - looking at her 2003 son
After Shangwa ran off a short distance, her 2003 son came to sniff the ground where she had lain
Scenting. He is now 39 months old - and should really have left his mother's territory, but he has now returned to it
Shangwa's 2003 male drooling, maybe due to tension being so close to his mother (probably a kill nearby - so they were probably fighting over it)
