Makwela's surviving male cub - now 11 months old
Having survived this far - he stands a good chance of one day fighting for his own territory
Certainly, if he has inherited his mother's hunting skills, he will be well able to look after himself
Already he is a fine-looking leopard
Mambhirri, now 3 years old, is from Makwela's previous litter. She has a territory next to her mother's
Mambhirri's territory extends to the southern boundary of the reserve. She is now old enough to give birth
Now Mambhirri is of breeding age signals the beginning of the end of Wallys' reing as the dominant male (her father) - for he must not interbreed
However, as she is likely to lose her first three litters, Wallys has more or less another three years before interbreeding would be a problem
Mambhirri's two sisters also live nearby
Hopefully Mambhirri and her siblings will fall pregnant sometime in 2005
Mambhirri scent marking - to re-inforce her territorial claim
Pinknose heavily pregnant. She should give birth very soon
