Hyaena approaching female cheetah to see if she has any food to steal

The cheetah snarls and shows her canines to the hyaena and even lunges at it - but the hyaena continues to sniff for food

The snarling is largely bluff, as the cheetah cannot risk being injured in a fight with the vastly stronger hyaena

She still has traces of dried blood on her face. The scent from this could explain the hyaena's presence

Eventually the hyaena gives up (she ate her kill much earlier in the day) and the cheetah can get some rest
